People young and old from all over the world, come every year with one goal in mind.  They want to say to themselves and others that they trekked to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro.  A German geologist, his friend, and a local guide were the first to conquer this mountain back in 1896.

Let’s talk a little about the weather.  From March to May, it is very wet on the mountain due to the Trade Winds.  From June to October, it is dry and windy.  The Monsoon winds blow in from the north east in November, bringing more rain.  Probably the best time to visit Mt. K., would be either from January to March, or from June to September.
