After a long and thorough search for feminine, stylish, yet comfortable sandals, I have finally found what I was looking for.
Teva Women’s Tirra Athletic Sandals literally caught my eye while I was scrolling down shoe websites.
It was such a relief to read all about the benefits of the soles, and the materials that these shoes are made of.
Here’s the thing: my two daughters and I all have arch problems, and if we wear any shoes more than a few hours (especially super flat shoes or sandals) our Achilles tendon hurts to a point where we literally cannot stand on our feet any longer.
That’s why I was looking for something comfortable, but good looking for the three of us.
Teva Women’s’ Tirra Athletic Sandals have some really cute colors, so we picked Raspberry, Dark Purple and Red Gradient.
They are like foot decor, so lovely and so bright, and look even better on tanned skin. The colors did not fade, even after three weeks spent on the beach walking in the sand and dipping them in the ocean.
Not one of us felt a painful moment while we wore them; the heel measures approximately 1.5 inches and the platform lowers to 0.5 inches. They have a compression-molded EVA midsole.
Now, if anyone is having doubts whether to buy these shoes, I sincerely recommend them, no matter if they have problems with their feet, or just seek comfort on their summer day walks.
The sandals are designed with two adjustable Velcro hook-and-loop straps in the front (my younger daughter found this very practical, since she has very narrow feet, and she could tighten them up as much as she wanted) and one strap around the ankle.
The back strap has a tiny hoop, made in the dominant color of the sandals, very practical for pulling the sandals on your feet.
The Teva logo is elegantly added on the first front strap, and the ankle strap has a tiny rubber little hand that I found very cute; it shows you where to press. I like discreet details like this one.
On the back of the rubber heel you can see a tiny spider – and you know what that means?
The rubber sole is made to stick to wet surfaces like its life depends on it. I can confirm that you can walk freely when it rains without worries of falling. It really is a good choice for a sandal outsole.
The inside of the straps is soft, and feels really nice when you wear it. We all agree that we had our first summer free of blisters on our feet!
Teva Women’s Tirra Athletic Sandals have a shock pad heel, extremely important for people who get blisters on their heels; my older daughter has them constantly, no matter what she wears, and nothing actually helps but resting or soaking the feet in water.
The shock pad heel is soft and cushion-like, giving the heel a good massage and good base for active walking. She didn’t complain once while we were vacationing.
We all felt the benefits of the anatomic, natural foot shape of the footbed – the slight curve fits the arch perfectly, and gives a lovely rest for the entire foot.
Made of Microban zinc-based, the Teva Women’s Tirra Athletic Sandals have micro bacterial treatment that keep our feet odor free.
We usually wear foot deodorant, no matter if we wear boots or sandals, but this time with Teva Women’s Tirra Athletic Sandals we forgot to use it, but it wasn’t even necessary.
The traction outsole is designed with water-channeling lugs making them quite stable and easy to wear.
I didn’t feel any pain in my knees, not to mention the arches or my calf muscles.
We even swam with them sometimes, and nothing ever happened to the sandals. They dried almost immediately, and remained as good as new.
Their Spider Original slip resistant rubber sole works just fine for stability on any ground, but we only tested them on city streets, and at the beach.
My daughters wore them to a 4th of July camping adventure, and they never complained about anything. So I guess these Teva Sandals pass that test too.
My daughters and I recommend the Teva Women’s Tirra Athletic Sandals for their comfort, the cute design, and the possibility of wearing them anywhere and anytime (combined with any outfit).
