I know what I can expect when it comes to anything Skechers makes.
As a loyal customer, I have walked miles in their sport shoes, and sandals, and now I want to check out their summer collection.
I need anatomical flip flops, or sandals, and basically the Skechers Women’s Reggae-Rasta Thong Sandals are just what I am looking for.
I have fallen arches, so I literally lose flip flops wherever I go, because they always slip off my feet.
For this summer I need something stylish and comfortable, that will not only stay on my feet, but alleviate arch and toe pain.
Usually flip flops are made with cheap rubber soles, which isn’t good for my fallen arches, because it’s like walking barefoot; I can feel literally every pebble on the street.
I have to say that I had a hard time picking only one pair, simply because I wanted both the Gray and the Black/Fuchsia. So I got them both.
First of all, the front part is amazing for people like me. I can actually walk in them and not feel like they are slipping away and trying to live life on their own.
The fact that my big toes are secured on both sides with a thong strap, and there is an actual adjustable hook-and-eye strap, giving me control in positioning the straps around my foot, is beyond my expectations.
The leather and textile combination of the straps makes them firm enough to keep the foot safe and in place, yet they do not harm the skin whatsoever.
If you think that a sandal can’t suffocate the skin on your feet, you are very wrong. Even the most open sandals can make your feet sweaty and smelly.
Skechers Women’s Reggae-Rasta Thong Sandals have a perforated footbed (those little holes you can see on the top of the footbed) that allow airflow.
The front part of the footbed has relief toe support. That is the most comfortable thing you can put on a footbed. It gives the toes a lovely feeling, and kind of massages them when you walk, or when you stand.
The front part is slightly uplifted, just enough for the foot to be constantly kept in a comfortable, anatomical shape.
The whole footbed is contoured, and the outsole has a cute design with holes where you can see the midsole. These aren’t just for decoration, as they promote regular air flow.
Their manmade rubber soles are actually the main stars here.
They are made anatomically correct, and as I read online, many people with similar problems like mine had their doctors recommend sandals like these.
The rubber part of the sole is about an inch tall, a great height and ideally lifted from the ground; the platform is measured with only half an inch. There is little chance of pain because they aren’t too flat.
I don’t even have to say this, it is clearly visible – it is an anatomically foot shaped sole with a good fall for the arch.
Seriously, I would never go back to wearing simple sandals after these.
Skechers Women’s Reggae-Rasta Thong Sandals turned out to be not only a good choice for the beach, but also for urban walks too.
Once you get used on these light weight sandals, it’s hard switching to something else.
