Skechers Nitrate Sneakers for kids come in many colors and by the look of it, more than one style.
Best Walking Shoes tries to take their research seriously when it comes to shoes, so we are still trying to figure out a bit more about these Nitrates.
It seems on one of current listings, at least, there are two styles available under the same name.
In fact, if you have a look on Skechers website, they have varying different types of ‘Nitrate’ available.
The majority of these shoes are a lace up style, but it appears that two of them – the red/black and the charcoal/black have Velcro on them and look quite different to the other style.
These also appear different to the ones on their website with the same name, so it is possible that these are slightly older versions of the same shoe.
Either way, it doesn’t really matter, as long as you are aware of the variations in style within this range on the listing.
One thing that you can be sure of, with a brand as reliable as Skechers, whichever of these you pick for your kids, you can’t really go wrong.
Skechers know that kids give their shoes abuse and by the first looks of these, they are hard wearing and designed to give as good as they get.
As far as colors go, then these come in the full range. From lime/blue to orange/black and then a load in between.
These sneakers have a gel infused insole with memory foam, making these very comfortable to wear and also, with the S branding and patterned overlays, they are not exactly ugly to look at, either.
Described as a running shoe, these are lightweight and highly flexible. They also have a non marking rubber sole.
Although these may be described as being a running shoe, we think that it is unlikely that the parents of the under 3s contemplating a pair of these, are really thinking of entering their child for the Olympics.
But if they were doing, they would be in the right footwear!
We know that buying shoes through the internet can be a bit of a pain. And then when you are trying to do this for a kid, it gets even worse.
So, the good news is that these shoes come with a 90% approval rate. This is the gold standard when it comes to sizing, it doesn’t really get a lot better than that!
The sizes range from approximately one year old up to twelve and take in sizes 5 (toddler) up to a 7 (big kid).
This is fairly complete and once you are out of the toddler sizes, these do come in half sizes and also there is some choice in the width too.
And the comfort?
These are highly comfortable, coming with a padded tongue and heel, so the foot won’t be rubbing against harsh materials.
The heel on these (at least, the average heel size – it will vary by sizing) is 1.5 inches and they do not feel heavy for their strength level.
All in all, we can’t see any real complaints at all about the comfort – or the support – provided by these shoes.
Because Skechers know that kids play rough, these Nitrate Kids Sneakers will not disappoint.
Beyond the odd gripe from some either very unlucky or very heavy wearing customers, most parents seem to think that these will stay the distance.
Yes, if your kid really puts them through their paces, then there is the chance that they might actually wear them out. But the chances of this happening are fairly slim.
In fact, we would imagine that it is more likely that your child will grow out of these before, they wear them out.
On the whole, these are a versatile sneaker, which although described as a running shoe, are more of an all rounder.
Wear them out in the garden, on the beach, at school, at play or just for casual use.
We think these pretty much tick all the boxes for doing it all.
Plus, they are so comfortable, your kid will probably end up living in them anyway!
We love the range of colors that these are available in and they would seem to cater for all tastes.
They should be suitable for both girls and boys, although we have noticed that this style seems to be predominantly favored by boys.
Best Walking Shoes have tried their hardest to see what, if any, the problems are with these sneakers.
The good news is that the gripes seem pretty hard to find.
No one seems to think that these are anything other than grade A comfortable, to have on, which is always a plus.
One or two people think that the soles wore through a bit quick or that maybe they were slightly slippery in the rain.
The numbers who think this really are small, though.
On the whole, these thick, non-marking soles are actually providing more than enough protection against the elements.
And the number of customers who think that these were had a long lifespan, well outnumber those who thought that they wore through a bit fast.
As hard as we try, we really can’t come up with any real problem with these shoes.
We think these make an ideal choice, for a large range of children’s sizes and they also fit well and are highly supportive.
For a good, comfortable all-rounder sneaker, we can’t see any reason not to recommend these Nitrate Kids Shoes by Skechers.
