The problem. You are a woman who likes to train and workout and wants a serious training shoe to do it in. But all you can find are masculine looking training shoes that are designed for men or silly little girly sneakers, which whilst they look cute, do not offer you the support you need to train in.
The solution? Ryka Women’s Deliberate Cross Trainer Shoe. These are a feminine training shoe which has been designed with both the needs of the female form and a hard workout in mind.
When it comes to Ryka, style is never divorced from the substance and you will not feel the need to start wearing your boyfriend/ husband/ brothers training shoes or forever doom your tootsies to second class sneakers.
In fact, we would suggest any woman who is serious about training check out the complete range of Ryka footwear, because even if these Deliberate Training Shoes fail to please, we are certain that you will find something that does.
THE DESIGN VIEW
So what do they look like?
Well, first impressions of the Ryka Women’s Deliberate Cross Trainer Shoe is that they look like they mean business, but they are anything but frumpy.
Feminine without being girly, these are available in three different styles; Navy/ Pink which is a predominantly navy shoe, edged with a lilac pink, Black/ Mint, which is a mainly black shoe, trimmed with mint and Grey/ White which are largely a subdued shade of gray, with white trims.
These are a lace up style and feature a breathable mesh upper, to keep things cool as well as light. There are also no sew and synthetic overlays on them giving the mid foot adequate support.
All of these are fairly low key color combinations which don’t scream out to be stared at, but should meld gently into any gym wardrobe.
Could you wear them for casual use? Yes, of course you could.
With flex grooves on the forefoot, these should grip down pretty good on all your jumping, jogging and running.
The shoes are also highly lightweight and have an EVA midsole to cushion any jolts and bumps that you will encounter- and there are bound to be plenty of them.
The sockliner boasts a contoured heel and arch cup, for extra support and the EVA midsole should retain its’ shape better than the norm.
It perhaps should be no surprise to discover that manufacturer Ryka design exclusively for women.
Women are not men and their feet as well as their general needs are different. Ryka understand this and this is the reason for the unique design of their shoes.
The heels are a little narrower, the forefoot a little wider and the toe box also should feel wider too, than some other training shoes.
They have been creating women only training and athletic shoes for a quarter of a century, so we are reassured that they should know what they are doing by now!
If you decide to shop for these Ryka Women’s Deliberate Cross Trainer Shoes online, you should be able to go ahead and order your usual size with confidence.
A whopping 87% of customers have given them the thumbs up and say that their regular size fits them just fine.
A really tiny percentage think that they run a little small.
With some other shoes by Ryka, a common complaint has been that they run small and sometimes, a little narrow.
This hasn’t really come up with regards to these training shoes and indeed, even to look at, they seem as if they may be a little more accommodating of the wider foot.
There is more good news when it comes to the comfort provided by this Ryka Women’s Deliberate Cross Trainer Shoes.
They are supportive and comfortable to have on, as well as a fairly snug fit.
The synthetic mesh upper means that these are light to wear as well as being supported by the EVA midsole and have a spacious, round toe box.
Although not designed specifically for sufferers of podiatric problems, we feel these are worth a go at least, if you should require more support than average.
Some of the other varieties of Ryka have been feted especially as being for Zumba and other dance classes, this is because of the pivots on the sole.
Although if you flip the shoe over and have a look, you will see that although these have decent grips, they don’t exactly have pivots on.
This doesn’t mean that you can’t use them for Jazzercise or Zumba or other dance classes like that, just that these have more of a multi-purpose edge to them.
You could train, jog, walk or run in these shoes, as well do gym, we feel. And take it all in your stride.
The one thing that we don’t advise is that you get these Ryka Women’s Deliberate Cross Trainer Shoes wet. The mesh upper means that you would probably get soggy pretty quickly. A light shower should be fine, an Indian monsoon is probably best avoided. And the same goes for snow and ice.
SHOULD I BUY THESE TRAINING SHOES?
So, the bottom line is, should you buy these training shoes by Ryka?
We can’t see any reasons not to.
Not least because these are priced competitively and seem to offer a good range of activities into the deal.
They look smart, but unobtrusive and of course, have been designed especially for the needs of the exercising woman.
