Looking a bit more grown up than some of the LED flashing shoes we have been reviewing here at Best Walking Shoes, these light up shoes by makers Qiucdzi do not come in the smallest of kids sizes.
There are no toddlers sizes available in this range and they start at a size eleven, in little kids and span all the way up to a five and a half in big kids.
These LED unisex kids shoes come in four colors; blue, black, pink and white.
All four of these colors come in a sort of two tone effect. The black pair come with a through shot of gray, which gives them a sort of dappled effect –maybe a bit like a leopard print, only these aren’t quite spots if you look closely.
The pink pair has a white pairing, the blue ones, which are quite dark in color have a black dappled look and the white ones actually give the impression of being gray from a distance. In actual fact, they really are white, but the black that runs across the design makes them seem as if they are gray.
These are a lace up design, so your little tigers will have to master tying a shoelace before they can successfully strut about in these beauties.
Probably this is the reason for the lack of smaller kids sizes, such as toddlers.
All things told, these Qiucdzi Kids Light Up Shoes could quite easily be an adults style as well.
So we reckon they will fit the bill perfectly for those who are grown up enough to want a more sophisticated look than the shiny-shiny Elton John epics that we have reviewed in these pages, but of course, still kiddy enough to want those all important LED flashing lights!
Well, it is not like adults necessary grow out of wanting flashing lights on their shoes either. And maybe, if you have a smaller than average foot size, you might even be able to get a pair of these for yourself.
Other details of this style features their knitted, comfortable appearance. According to the manufacturers Qiucdzi, the knitted fabric should help ensure banish the dreaded sweaty sneaker syndrome, especially associated with shoes of this type.
The soles are also made from a good solid, non slip rubber, which shouldn’t let you down or have your kid skidding all over the place.
It would seem that the manufacturer, Qiucdzi are a little publicity shy. If they have a website, then Best Walking Shoes have not been able to track it down just yet and it seems that they mainly sell their shoes through other sites.
This is perfectly alright, as far as we are concerned, as long they perform great, then who cares if the manufacturer don’t shout about themselves?
As we have already mentioned, these shoes do not begin at the teeny weeny end of the spectrum. The first size is an eleven in little kids and they scale right up to a five and a half in big kids.
If you are unsure as to how these sizes actually measure up to real life kids feet, then grab a pen and paper and draw around their feet.
Then measure from the toe to the tip and check the length against the handy chart that the manufacturers have provided.
For a quick rule of thumb – or toe – the sizing goes like this;
US Size 11 M has an inner length of 7.0 inches; US Size 11.5 M has an inner length of 7.3 inches; US Size 12 M has an inner length of 7.6 inches; US Size 13 M has an inner length of 7.8 inches; US Size 1 M has an inner length of 8.0 inches; US Size 1.5 M has an inner length of 8.3 inches; US Size 2.5 M has an inner length of 8.5 inches; US Size 3 M has an inner length of 8.8 inches; US Size 4 M has an inner length of 9.0 inches and US Size 5 M has an inner length of 9.2 inches
Similar to most of the other types of LED that we have reviewed, these have eleven different options and an off switch. The first seven are the static colors – red, green, blue, yellow, light green, purple and white. Then options eight to eleven set out all the different flashing light options, with a range of different speeds.
According to the manufacturers, these require a charge time of two to three hours and you will get at least eight hours of fault free flashing.
There is no actual charger provided with these shoes, but the USB cable they come with should be more than adequate for you to find something to plug it into.
Not surprisingly, the makers stress the importance of not going out in the rain wearing these LED light up sneakers!
Although the non slip rubber sole looks hopeful in a wet situation, we can’t say the same thing for the ‘breathable’ knitted fabric, which looks as if it could end up getting rather soaked in rain shower!
And all this is without the obvious problem of the LED lights being affected by water.
For this reason also, it is not advised that you try and wash these shoes or get them wet in any attempt to clean them.
Qiucdzi state that it should be possible to clean them with a colorless shoe cleaner. We think extreme caution should be undertaken before just treating them with any random shoe cleaner though!
The bottom line is, though, are these LED unisex light up sneakers actually any good?
Here, the reports which have reached our ears are encouraging.
These are a highly comfortable pair of sneakers, with a decent rubber sole and constructed from a fabric that won’t make your kids feet sweat buckets.
Less sweat means less smell and ultimately, less cleaning.
