Although these Orgrimmar First Walkers Soft Sole Baby Shoes all share a billing, when you look at them closely, you soon realize that actually these are a number of different shoes, all grouped together to make a listing.
In fact, when you stop and examine them properly, they are actually not all that similar to each other. They are a variety of styles and some of them are quite different from each other.
The one thing that they have in common is the sizing, branding and the fact that they are all made from soft leather.
They are also all billed as being for boys and girls. We think that these shoes probably do qualify as unisex.
But if your little angel is looking for something truly “princessy” then you might have to jog on, because girly they ain’t.
But that’s alright and at this age, you really just want to make sure that they can crawl and toddle safely and in comfort.
All the same, if you are looking for glitzy costume shoes to go to town with for your baby daughter, these don’t really qualify.
Out of the thirteen styles, there seem to be eleven separate ones. (We think). So that is quite a lot of choice!
First up is the Black And White. This is a cute monochrome shoe, with decorative lacing (in white) over the top of a patch black and white soft leather. The soles are black, with white stitching on top. There is a black single leather strip Velcro fastener over the bridge of the foot.
These are simple and yet highly charming as a baby shoe and ideal for both boys and girls.
Next, is the Blue And Grey. Also made of soft leather, this only features a Velcro strap of gentle grey over the light blue upper. With black soles stitched with white, these are incredibly dinky.
Beige and orange Velcro are a shade more complex. This is a beige upper, with dark brown toe cap, all made of soft leather. There is a double Velcro fastener in orange over the top, completing the spectrum of matching colors.
Color Stripes White 1 is actually a white shoe, with red stripes at the side. These look like perfect mini me sneakers and are cute as well as stylish.
Style 2 White are so similar to Color Stripes that actually, you have to spend some time observing them to see the difference.
The Light Blue Velcro are an identical design the Color Stripes White 1, except with light blue and black tones on the shoe.
In photos, the Yellow appears slightly caramel-ish in tone. Offset with the chocolate brown laces and stitching, these are a completely charming little shoe and perfect for tiny feet. There’s no Velcro on this style, but we are assured that the laces stretch easily.
A1 Solid Beige are more like an off white or a cream tone. These are clearly sandals, with a highly decorative lattice design.
Exactly like an adult sandal, these are sweet as hell and can easily be worn by babies of either gender.
Only the fact that these have the trademark white stitching on soft black soles, gives away the fact these are an infant shoe. And the fact that they are tiny, obviously!
The Black And Creamy White style almost stopped our hearts. It’s so cutesy, it looks like an iced fondant cake.
With a patent leather shiny black toe cap, the rest of the shoe is delicious off white and is brought together with stretchy black laces. It has a black heel and black sole, to complete the look.
The Blue does what it says on the tin. A nice sky blue color, with lighter toned laces, these are the same in style to the Yellow, only, well, blue.
Coffee Velcro are a tad more complicated. These have two types of soft leather upper – the brown looks like suede and the coffee and blue overlays are soft leather. Fastening with a double Velcro strap, with a hole between it, these are probably the most fancy design of the bunch.
The Grey are a lace up design, but a bit different to the other lace ups in our list. They appear to be made of a fabric or suede effect leather upper and the blue laces nicely contrast the soft grey upper. There’s no Velcro on these, either, so they will have to be slid on by a parent.
Finally, and confusingly, the White are actually not white – completely. These are a strappy pair of sandals, featuring blue overlays on top of a white design. With white soles, these are a Velcro fastener and so easy to get on and off.
Phew! So, there are the full selection of tiny shoes available from manufacturer Orgimmar!
These little shoes span from six months old to approximately two years.
They are intended as first walker.
But as soft soled shoes, we would not expect them to be worn on harsh terrain. Nor would we be seriously expecting them to take a lot of wear and tear, to be honest.
Although the manufacturer states they can be worn outdoors, we think really, these are really indoor shoes.
They require a bit of TLC and should be cleaned with a brush, gently.
Size wise, they come in three fittings and generally seem adept to catering for chubby little feet.
They are comfortable, cute and with the circular grips on the soles, won’t slip on hardwood floors.
ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS SHOE?
The only complaint we have really heard about these delightful shoes is that a small minority have a strong leather or chemical smell. In most cases, this smell fades away.
Also, and this really shouldn’t be a newsflash to anyone looking at them, being soft soles, they aren’t incredibly robust and won’t withstand a lot of outdoors rough and tumble.
Everyone says these Orgrimmar First Walkers Soft Sole Baby Shoes are pretty much the cutest things they have ever seen.
And they are. With more designs than you can shake a stick at, we say, you can’t go wrong for the price of them.
However, they aren’t designed to be worn all the time and definitely won’t withstand lots of outdoor play.
Ideal as first walkers for kids just finding their feet and for indoor use.
