My daughter and I both purchased the Columbia Women’s Newton Ridge Plus Hiking Boots. She picked the brown ones, and I got the grey ones.
We are both beyond content with these boots, especially because we both have low arches, and we need boots that would be super comfortable and super supportive.
By purchasing both pairs, we even saved some money, although their price is fairly reasonable.
I assume that if you are reading this, you are looking for a quality made, waterproof, safe and balanced boot that won’t burden your feet.
If that is the case, you are in the right place. Columbia Women’s Newton Ridge Plus Hiking
Boots are especially designed for people who don’t compromise their comfort, and as people say: you are either in your boots or in your bed, so invest sufficiently in both.
Good For Walking In The Snow
These shoes are perfect for snowy days, but my daughter and I are both wearing them even in the early fall on dry or rainy days, and let me tell you that there are no sneakers that fit better, nor provide our feet with more comfort or warmth.
The upper part is completely made of leather, except for the tongue, that is made of soft and breathable mesh, so your feet will not suffocate inside.
The laces on top are firmly placed all over the boot in triangular D-ring; the clamshell lacing is pretty easy when you need to pull the laces tighter, there is no need to go one by one and adjust them, you simply pull them once and they are done.
Columbia Women’s Newton Ridge Plus Hiking Boots are nicely finished in a rubber outsole, that as you can see has two layers – the Omnigrip lugged outsole, and the white rubber heel that parts the midsole from the outsole.
This way your feet are blessed to not feel the coldness of ice and snow, or any uncomfortable terrain you are walking on.
My daughter and I both have tried these boots both on frosty streets and deep snows, while hiking around town. Leather and rubber are definitely the best possible combination; we don’t need to worry about water ruining the boots.
The Columbia Women’s Newton Ridge Plus Hiking Boots are made of waterproof, full grain leather featuring Omnishield water powered with stain resistant treatment, and compression-molded EVA foam midsole.
No Arch Pain
For this price we bought boots that don’t cause pain to the arches or ankles; the feet are protected with a toe-bumper, a hard front and the midsole is made of compression-molded ethylene vinyl acetate foam.
Our feet are grateful for this little piece of comfort. Neither I, nor my daughter have felt arch pain since we bought these boots. We happen to walk a lot during working hours, so these boots are a real gift.
Sporty Design For All Occasions
We both really love their design; you see, they don’t really look like just any sport winter boot.
The leather gives them a more sophisticated look, so they can be combined with classic jeans, or pants.
Columbia went a step further, and designed lovely winter boots that have everything from comfort and looks, to protection and practicality.
I don’t even have other boots that are easier to put on. The cushions around the ankle may help prevent blisters too.
My daughter and I are both recommending these shoes for all the reasons I mentioned above.
It was a great investment and it turned out that the Columbia Women’s Newton Ridge Plus Hiking Boots are made to last a long time.
The other day I saw my doctor wearing them, so yeah, they truly are a good choice, and you don’t even have to ask your doctor for confirmation!
