If you have a kid, then you are going to be nagged until you buy a pair of these!
These are a unisex pair of light up LED sneaker style shoes by makers Cior.
And on first inspection, these do definitely have the wow factor!
Firstly, the colors they come in are not boring and should suit even the fussiest child.
These are various shades of black (we are a tad confused here, we must say, we thought there was only one shade black!) as well as a couple of different versions of other colors, like pink and white, as well as red, silver, gold and gray.
These are a PU leather (in other words, a synthetic leather) with a rubber sole.
As far as we can tell to look at, the construction seems reasonably solid.
And as for the all important LEDs – well there are seven different colors that these can turn. There are twelve turns of the switch, the first seven turn the lights red, green, blue, yellow, aqua, white, and purple. The other buttons change the effects of the lighting.
According to the manufacturer, these will need charging for 3 hours to achieve between 8 and 11 hours of lighting time.
These are a lace up style, that looks like leather and has some solid looking rubber soles on them.
These are kids’ shoes and the sizes go from a toddler’s size 8, through to a “little kids” sizing then to the “big kids” which end with a size 7.5. The smaller sizes, for toddlers, are only available in a full size. By the time the child is a “big kid” they are available in a half size.
If you are still a little confused about which of these sizes matches your kids’ feet, then there is a handy chart provided by the makers.
If you place the foot carefully on a sheet of paper, then draw a line from the back of their heel, to the tip of their big toe and measure it, you should be able to approximate the sizing from that.
Therefore, the smallest sizes range between 6.14-6.66 inches, which correlates to between an 8 and a 10, for a toddler size.
The “little kid” sizes range between 6.92 inches and 8.76 inches. These are the equivalents of the sizes 11-3.
Finally, the ‘big kid’ range starts at 9.02 inches (a size 4) and goes up to 10.33 inches (a size 7.5).
One thing is for sure, the sizing is not in much dispute by anyone, with 80% of buyers thinking that they were spot on.
Well, we know that the under 3s are perhaps unlikely to tell you about their fallen arches, or at least, in as many words!
But most parents can tell when something is rubbing or uncomfortable, when it comes to their kids clothing and footwear is no exception.
So, it is good news regarding the comfort levels, as well as the fit, for these LED light up shoes by CIOR.
Nearly all the comments that mention comfort in any way, state that these are both a good fit and a comfortable one to boot.
This is encouraging. Because when you have bought something like this for kids, there can be the worry that they simply won’t be good for their feet.
Well, here is where we get to the specifics of these LED light up sneakers by CIOR.
As you might imagine, these are very much not waterproof.
This is not because of the PU leather fabric and substantial looking rubber sole. These seem well made and of good quality.
The problem is, of course, the LED lighting.
These are not designed to handle any wet conditions at all, which is hardly surprising.
CIOR also advise caution whilst cleaning these. In short, don’t get them wet. Just wipe with a cloth if they require cleaning.
We cannot complain about this advice and anyone who purchases these shoes must remain realistic about the road conditions they are to be worn in.
In addition to not getting them wet, the manufacturer also warns against any vigorous use or heavy wear.
In other words, sooner or later those LED lights are going to get damaged and it might be best to realize this fact right from the start, to avoid disappointment.
Ultimately, these shoes are about fashion and fashion should be fun.
These shoes score highly on the ‘fun’ stakes, available in so many bright and bold colors and with so many flashing light options available.
We love them and they are a no brainer as a gift idea for a kid, or as part of some special day dressing up treat – Halloween especially comes to mind.
We think these are an incredibly smart looking pair of kids’ sneakers which just scream fun.
However, as killjoys, we need to point out that these LED lights may not last forever and to maybe limit wearing them to special occasions.
But for the price, we think they are good value and most customers are more than happy with their purchases.
Sensible footwear, they most definitely are not. But, who cares. Not everything in life has to be!
More importantly, they are super cute and your kid is already begging for a pair!
Have a heart and buy them some – they’re only kids once!
