Wow. There are sometimes when we are simply bowled over by a shoe that we have come across at Best Walking Shoes Review. And this is one of them.
Because whilst we have reviewed a lot of great shoes and particularly, LED flashing light shoes for kids, they don’t all have the added wow factor that these shoes do.
Sometimes, we think, that the simple fun element of the LED flashing lights – and they are fun – are enough reason for a manufacturer to not have to put much thought into the rest of the shoe design.
In other words, they just bung some pretty lights onto a bog standard pair of kids sneakers and transform them into the fabulous. But when the lights stop flashing – and take it from us, sooner or later, they usually do – then you are left with some decidedly average sneakers.
However, when we look at this pair of kids’ high top led sneakers light up flashing shoes by Cengyoo, we can see that even if we removed the pretty flashing lights from them, they would still be pretty darned cool.
These appear to be two rather different styles under the same listing here.
There are two principal choices here between the designs. One is a stars and stripe pattern, bafflingly named “Golden”. We are not quite sure why it has this name, because we sure can’t see anything golden about it!
The “Golden” style are seriously nifty in their own right, even without turning on the eleven types of LED lights.
With two dark blue Velcro fasteners overlaying the red tongue, this design has the stars are the tip of the shoe and the stars at the heel.
We find ourselves wishing that these came in a larger size than the 3.5 for “big kids” that they go up to.
All the same, these are in no way similar at all to the other shoes under the same listing of High Top LED Sneakers by manufacturer Cenygoo.
Equally awesome, but very different are the other four in this range.
These are a pure color, with no secondary design or shading on them. Believe us when we tell you that these are completely awesome.
With a patented PU leather finish, these shiny little numbers come with a side helping of cool wings stuck to their sides. These will help transform your tiny terrors into the miniature mega heroes they always wanted to be.
We can’t help thinking they will look like a mini Mercury, the Roman god, with these on.
The second of the two separate styles are the “wings”. These fasten with just one Velcro strap and also feature laces, which don’t need to be laced up.
Within these designs, there are four colors, white, pink, black and silver.
Although white is always a tricky color for the dirt monsters amongst our little darlings, with the tiny wings perched on the sides of their feet, they really will be transformed into little angels!
The pink pair have a shiny, metallic looking finish, that any little girl will be keen to get her feet into. The black are also coated with a patent like effect and have the detail of the “wings” outlined in white, just to emphasize them all the more.
However, we think our favorites are the silver pair. These really do look as if they could have been carved out of actual silver, they are so shiny. Ideal for either girl or boy, we can see these being a winner at any party or family gathering.
These range from a size nine, in a toddler fitting right up to 3.5 in the ‘big kids’ range.
Just in case you were having trouble deciphering what size your kids’ feet were, Cengyoo offer a handy measuring guide to check their foot against.
Basically, a nine (in toddler sizing) is 6.41 inches, a nine and a half is 6.61 inches.
A ten and half (which is in little kids) is 6.88 inches, an eleven is 7.08 inches, an eleven and a half is 7.28 inches, a twelve and a half is 7.55 inches, a thirteen and a half is 7.79 inches.
A size one is 7.95 inches, a two, 8.14 inches, a three is 8.46 inches and the last size, a three and half in ‘big kids’ is 8.77 inches long.
All sizes are approximate, but given the 80% accuracy rate with regard to the fittings, we think that you should probably follow them.
These are a comfortable style of sneaker, with no immediate concerns about rubbing and chafing. We think they should be a nice and easy pair of shoes to wear in casual use.
Well, here it gets a little trickier. Without any explicit information about exactly the dos and don’ts about these shoes, we will have to use our common sense about the terrain for these shoes.
These are LED shoes, so it is pretty obvious that they aren’t waterproof, or even water resistant. It is also a no-brainer to assume that these aren’t going to be the hardiest pair of sneakers ever.
They are meant for high days and holidays, not for hardwearing and lots of action.
In other words, if you want to keep these in tip top condition, then don’t let your kid out in the snow wearing them!
All in all, these are an impressive looking pair of sneakers for your toddler, little kid or big kid. In fact, you are probably eyeing a pair of these up!
The bad news is that mysterious-company-without-a-website Cengyoo don’t do this particular flavor in “big person”. The good news is that they do seem to specialize in LED shoes and some of them are adult sizes, so go and check them out instead.
For the price mark that these LED sneakers are at, we say, you can’t go wrong!
