There are so many options for all kinds of women’s hiking boots, and the choice of footwear available is quite staggering.
Whether you’re going backpacking or hiking through the mountains, hiking boots should have great ankle and foot support. The soles of the boots should have a lug pattern that gives the hiker better stability and traction. You should be considering where you’ll wear the boots to understand what features you’ll find important. For example, a hike through the mountains, such as Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa, means you’ll need to have ankle stability for the changing terrain.
Winter is coming, and you still haven’t decided which footwear will compliment your feet in the upcoming season? Do you really need to buy new ones? Are your current boots worn out? Or are you just tired of them? Maybe you’re just too tired to go shopping…too many choices, too many styles, too many pairs to try on!
I’m not an online shopper, as I prefer to buy things, especially shoes and clothes, the old-fashioned way – go to the store, try it on, think about it, and either reject the item, or buy it. In my efforts to find good winter hiking boots, ‘I shopped until I dropped.’ No luck! So I simply had to sit down, and search online for the crème-de-la-crème.
