Why might you want to by these fine looking Women’s Newport H2 Sandals?
Well, according to the manufacturer’s propaganda, because this style gives you the airiness of a sandal, with the protection of an enclosed toe.
And whilst this is not the only shoe that sport’s manufacturer Keen do with these specifications, it is additionally not the only reason to choose them.
More reasons come in the razor siping on the soles, providing an excellent base for activities such as trekking, hiking, outdoor pursuits and all sorts of watery activities.
If this is not enough, then might we mention that these have an inbuilt odor control in the shape of Cleansport NXT. Other features of the Women’s Newport H2 are the EVA midsole, hydroponic mesh lining, a secure lace fit system.
These are textile sandal, in contrast to the men’s Newport which are the leather version, or some of the rather similar women’s styles, which may also feature leather.
This might be the first choice for any veggies out there who don’t want to buy leather, but still want the great quality that Keen offer.
Described as a water shoe, we expect to be able to go kayaking, canoeing, boating and anything else that might constitute getting wet.
Like many of their other shoes, these have a metatomical foot bed which they promise will “cradle” your foot and give it that extra protection they need.
Judging by the look of these Newport H2s, they were designed to be seen and not only worn for sporting pursuits and then promptly hidden away afterwards.
In terms of colors, well, the sky’s the limit. Take your pick from Slate Black/Canton; which is a tasteful gray color, Magnet/ Hot Coral; another gray with a pink stripe through the strap, Poseidon/ Capri; medium dark blue with a lighter aqua color, Raven/ Capri; gray with a light blue stripe and Black/ Bright Rose; two tone gray patterning on the straps, flecked with a pin stitching.
Then there is Crown Blue/ Vapor; two shades of blue, a mid shade and a light wash or Dead Dye 5; a black base and foot bed with straps of printed dark pink on top of black.
Malachite/ Silver Branch is a light aqua blue or green, the oddly named Book Tree Camo is camouflage print on a neutral colored base. Free Asia is the most colorful of all these styles, featuring multi designs in varying shades.
Flower Of Life is a darker blue flecked with lighter shades, printed onto the straps, Deep Purple/ Purple Sage is as you may expect, two rich shades of purple. Mineral Blue/ Fusion Coral is a mixture of a light, powder blue with a coral stripe and Mineral Blue/ Vapor, is a light blue interspersed with light gray straps.
Navy Dream is well, navy and Beet Red/ Corydalis Blue is a burgundy, with a light blue and gray contrast.
Black does what it says on the tin, whilst Hot Coral/ Burnt Henna are almost tartan looking in appearance, with a geometric shapes design.
Trust us when we say, there are more if you want them!
We don’t believe that there isn’t a style from the above list to match your exact outfit, right down to the last detail, so at least that is one problem you won’t have!
Available in a half size, these come in a fairly standard 5-11 and you should be able to get something that fits your feet.
The advice from the manufacturer is to size up by half a size, as they run a little small. We think that if you do this, you should be fine.
One of the few criticisms of this style is that it runs small. Once you have managed to get the right fit, we think this should no longer be an issue.
These have a roomy toe box and provide a decent level of support for your feet. If you have a mild podiatric condition, these might be the shoe you are looking for.
And in terms of comfort, these tick all the boxes with a big, fat YES.
These will not be likely to cause you chafing or pain on your kayaking adventures and you should be fine to hike away, either on the beach or somewhere a little more trying, with ease.
As we have mentioned, these are principally a water and outdoor shoe and are labeled as being waterproof.
This means they should be great for everything to do with lakes, seas and rivers. The siping on the soles provides a great grip in slippery terrain and like all Keen shoes, these can be put through the washing machine, to get a thorough cleaning after your watery travails are done.
The Keen Women’s Newport H2 Sandals make an excellent all-round water shoe and are perfect for all sorts of outdoor adventures.
They are comfortable, with a decent sole and can be washed easily.
